Todd co-founded Gorelick Brothers Capital in 2003 and is the firm's principal executive manager. Todd has over 30 years of family office and professional investment experience. He led the development of the firm's due diligence and manager assessment systems. Prior to founding Gorelick Brothers, Todd was chief executive of Atlantic Title Insurance Company, a multi-state insurer, from 1991 through 2003. From 1993 through the same period, Todd was co-founder and Senior Managing Partner of Atlantic Assurance Group, a national mortgage settlement services business. He was previously President of Home Mortgage Company, a residential mortgage lender, and an analyst for Freedom Investments, a commercial real estate banking firm. Todd graduated from Princeton University in 1986.
Rael co-founded Gorelick Brothers Capital in 2003 and has more than 15 years of hedge fund, traditional investment, and family office management experience. Rael participated in the development of the firm's due diligence and manager sourcing methods, and he has served a variety of investment roles since inception. Rael has principal responsibility for the firm's investor relations. Since 2006 Rael has led hedge fund sourcing and networking groups for top US family office executives, successfully identifying winning managers at an early stage. From 2001 to 2003, Rael served as a senior marketing and business development consultant for Atlantic Assurance Group. Previously, Rael was manager of distribution strategy for Showtime Networks. Rael is a 1994 graduate of Northwestern University.
Chris joined Gorelick Brothers Capital in 2008, is a partner in the firm, and has primary portfolio management responsibility for the Morrocroft Special Opportunity Funds. Chris has over 25 years of trading and investment experience. Before joining Gorelick Brothers Capital, Chris was a Managing Director at Banc of America Securities LLC, where he was head of collateralized debt obligation trading and syndications. Previously, Chris held senior investment and trading roles at American Capital Access, Prudential Securities and Deutsche Bank Securities. Chris graduated from Yale University in 1991.
David joined Gorelick Brothers Capital in 2004 and serves as VP for Acquisitions and Research. David has principal responsibility for underwriting and property acquisition. Previously he filled multiple roles at Yankee Advisers, an institutional fund of hedge funds. David's chief responsibilities included hedge fund sourcing and due diligence. He also served as portfolio manager for the fund's legacy equity trading fund. David graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2001 with degrees in Chemical Engineering and Business Management and is a CFA charter holder.
Karen joined Gorelick Brothers Capital in 2012 and serves as Chief Operating Officer. Karen is responsible for financial controls and reporting, including accounting, tax and audit matters, financial planning, compliance support, technology, and administration. From 2007 to 2012, Karen served as Chief Operating Officer at Concerto Asset Management, and was also Chief Compliance Officer beginning in 2010. Karen spent the prior 17 years in a variety of roles at Wachovia Bank and First Union Corporation, including Credit Products Group Business Manager and Operations Manager of the Fixed Income Products Division. Karen holds a BA in Accounting from North Carolina State University.
Mike joined Gorelick Brothers Capital in 2012, and currently serves as Portfolio Manager for the Access Fund. Mike's principal duties include portfolio management, manager due diligence and monitoring. Mike has over 15 years of financial industry experience, with more than half that time as an alternative investments specialist covering collateralized products and hedge funds. Previously Mike served in a variety of roles at Credit Suisse and a Citadel Investment Group affiliate. Mike has a Masters Degree in Finance from the University of Colorado Denver, and he earned an undergraduate in Finance with a minor in Economics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Mike is a CAIA charter holder.
Drew joined Gorelick Brothers Capital in 2012 and serves as Senior Business Analyst. Drew's duties include modeling and reporting for real estate strategies as well as investor communications, technology support and materials preparation. Previously, Drew worked as an analyst and associate for a real estate private equity firm where he performed data and market analysis, due diligence and marketing. Drew graduated from Wake Forest University in 2009 with an undergraduate degree in Finance and a minor in Mathematics. Drew is a CFA charter holder.
Marc joined GBC Residential Management in 2012 and serves as General Counsel, Corporate Risk Executive. Marc has principal responsibility for legal, risk management, and transaction and contracts related to GBC Residential Management. Marc has over 25 years of related experience. Prior to joining GBC, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Rockwood Capital, a real estate investment and management company, and previously, he was Vice President & General Counsel for Select Management, a firm specializing in REO and HOA management. Marc graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Business Administration and received his law degree from Indiana University. Marc is an attorney-at-law with expertise in real estate transactions and landlord/tenant matters.
Warren joined Gorelick Brothers Capital in 2012 and serves as Finance Director. Warren has primary responsibility for accounting and management reporting related to GBC Residential Management. Warren has over 25 years of experience in construction, real estate development and private equity with firms including Crutchfield Capital, Citiline Development, and Carolina Restoration & Construction, among others. He began his career as an accountant at Coopers & Lybrand. Warren graduated in 1988 with a BA in accounting from Furman University.
